Serhiy Ivanovych Boltivets

(born April 7, 1956 in Kyiv) is a Ukrainian scientist in the field of psychology, Doctor of Psychological Sciences (2005),
Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (1991), Professor (2008).

Education

Graduated from the Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute named after O. M. Gorky (1978), graduated from the Institute of Pedagogy (1986–1991).

Employment

Main places of work:

  •  Teacher of Ukrainian language and literature at secondary schools No. 2, 97, Kyiv, sanatorium-boarding school No. 22 for children with psychoneurological diseases (1978–1982);
  • Deputy Director for Educational Work of Sanatorium-Boarding School No. 22 in Kyiv for Children with Psychoneurological Diseases (1982–1989);
  • Deputy Director for Educational and Methodological Work of the Kyiv City Institute for Advanced Training of Teachers, Vice-Rector for Educational and Scientific Work of the Kyiv Interregional Institute for Advanced Training of Teachers named after Borys Grinchenko (1989–2000).
  • Since 2000 — Deputy Director for Scientific, Experimental and Organizational Work, Chief Researcher of the Laboratory of Age-Related Psychophysiology of the Institute of Psychology named after G. S. Kostyuk of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
  •  Professor of the National Medical University named after O. O. Bogomolets (since 2000).

Science
Main areas of scientific work: age psychology, pedagogical psychology, history of psychology and pedagogy, andragogy, psychohygiene of teaching and
upbringing, social psychohygiene.

The topic of the candidate’s thesis is “Features of the organization of the educational process in general education sanatorium boarding schools for children
suffering from psychoneurological diseases.” The topic of the doctoral thesis is “Theoretical and methodological principles of pedagogical psychohygiene.”

Member of the editorial boards of the scientific and scientific-methodical journals “Postgraduate Education”, “Practical Psychology and Social Work”,
“Problems of Modern Psychology”, “Psychology and Society”, “Ukrainian Lesson”, “Labor Market and Employment of the Population”, and the magazine for
Ukrainian schools “Living Water”.

Head of the All-Ukrainian Coordination Bureau of the International Public- State Program “Adult Education of Ukraine”, which operates with the assistance of
the UNESCO International Institute for Lifelong Learning (2000),

  • President of the World Pedagogical Museum (2001),
  • President of the Ukrainian Foundation for Psychohygiene (2003).
  • Member of the Scientific and Methodological Commission for Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, member of the Expert Council in the field of “Public Administration” of the State Accreditation Commission of Ukraine.
  • Founder of the women’s movement “Mothers of the World against War and Terrorism.” 2014.
  •  Investigative journalist of the UMTK “Stolytsia” 2017.
  • Founder of the Committee of Legislative Initiatives of the Ukrainian women’s movement “Mothers of the World against War and Terrorism.” GSU. 2020.
  • Chairman of the Expert Council of the International Tribunal for Journalistic Investigations of the NGO “Center for Journalistic Investigations to Counter Raid and Corruption in Law Enforcement and State Bodies.” 2024.
  • Chairman of the Public Committee “Health Care and Consumer Rights Protection” of the People’s Government of the National Trust of the State Union of Ukraine.
