The role of the United States, in particular Donald Trump, in resolving the conflict was discussed. It was suggested that the signing of mineral agreements would help attract American companies and the military, which could help liberate the occupied territories. It was also noted that the international community should step up efforts to bring Putin to justice for war crimes.
The facts of illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia, their militarization and violations of international norms were emphasized. It was noted that Ukraine has ratified the Rome Statute, which facilitates further trials of war criminals.
Separately, the issues of corruption, the influence of oligarchs, problems with Kyiv’s urban planning and the need to effectively use international mechanisms to protect Ukraine were raised. There were calls for the Ukrainian authorities to take more decisive action and take responsibility for the state of affairs in the country.
